After studying at James Watt College, Greenock and Napier University, Edinburgh he graduated with a Diploma (Credit) in Advertising and Marketing.

From 2007 Freelance Writer Creative Producer and Lecturer.

Radio

1979 started in radio at Radio Forth in Edinburgh behind the mixing desk as a sound engineer, mixing and recording bands, programmes, and commercials.

1981 to 1993 Radio Aire Leeds.

1993 to 2007 Radio Clyde Glasgow, Scotland

For over 25 years he was 'Head of Creative at 2 of the UK's BIG CITY radio stations continually developing both Creative Departments, first in Leeds then back in Glasgow, working with all the major advertising agencies and clients in both cities and throughout the UK.
